Coral World Ocean Park offers a variety of activities for visitors or all ages.
Inside of the park is the one of a kind Undersea Observatory Tower. It is a three story tower that stands 100 feet offshore. The lowest level of the tower takes you 15 feet below the surface, the mid-level part of the tower is called the Predator Tank, where you can view schools of fish, sharks, tarpon and other large fish. There is also a daily feeding at 12:40 where you can observe and listen to the Aquarists talk about what goes on in the underwater habitat.
There is also an 80,000 gallon coral reef aquarium named the Caribbean Reef Encounter. The aquarium is made with 12, three inch thick acrylic windows for a 360 degree viewing of hundreds of fish, living corals and sponges. At 9:30am and at 1:30pm, you can see staff divers enter the waters to hand feed the fish while an aquarist talks about the exhibit. Not too far from the Caribbean Reef Encounter is the Marine Gardens where you can find 21 jewel tanks featuring hundreds of marine species including the scorpion fish, peacock flounder, trunk fish, burr fish and porcupine fish. Fish and marine life aren’t the only things you can witness inside of the park, you can also spend time with iguanas in Iguana Alley, the ducks and tortoises on the Nature Trail & the Rainbow Lorikeets in the Lorikeet Garden.
