Some cruise ships allow passengers to start their visit to St. John by taking a ‘tender’ from the ship to the dock in Cruz Bay before the ship arrives in St. Thomas. This is a great way to get an early start for your exciting day in St. John.

For passengers who arrive directly in St. Thomas – its easy to visit St. John for the day. Some ferries depart directly from Charlotte Amalie – close to the cruise ship terminals. More frequent ferry service is available from Red Hook – a short taxi ride from the dock.
