Deep Sea Fishing is one of the major attractions in the US Virgin Islands.
It’s just easier… to go deep sea fishing in the US Virgin Islands
The US Virgin island is home to world-class Caribbean sport fishing with more than 24 world-record catches recorded with the International Game Fish Association.
Caribbean Blue Marlin is best during July and August when the USVI plays host to the annual USVI Open Atlantic Blue Marlin Tournament. In 2003, 95 Blue Marlin were caught during the Tournament.
During the rest of the year, you can still enjoy Caribbean Deep Sea Fishing in the USVI with White Marlin, Sailfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Blackfin Tuna, White Marlin, Wahoo, Allison Tuna, Tarpon, Barracuda, Snook, Kingfish, Jacks, Mahi Mahi (dolphin fish) and King Mackerel running throughout our Caribbean Seas.
Permits are not required, although there are restricted areas in the Virgin Islands National Park & Virgin Islands Coral Reef National Monument on St. John. There are also restrictions within St. Croix’s Buck Island Reef National Monument. Your deep sea fishing charter operator will know the best areas for fishing during your visit to the US Virgin Islands.
