Bolongo Bay Beach Resort Extends 50% Military Wedding Discount
USVI Resort also Waives Cancellation Fees for Military Destination Weddings
ST. THOMAS, US Virgin Islands — To salute our nation’s military and their brides-to-be, Bolongo Bay Beach Resort in the US Virgin Islands is extending last year’s popular 50% military discount on destination weddings to be available year-round – with no expiration date.
Bolongo Bay’s 50% military wedding discount is available to all active duty service members and their brides, and valid on the “Barefoot on the Beach” and “Paradise Wedding” destination wedding packages. The discount is on any length of stay, but excludes food and beverage, and is subject to availability.
Destination wedding packages, with the discount, begin at $500 for the “Barefoot on the Beach” package, which includes wedding coordinator services, clergy, wedding ceremony on the beach, bottle of Champagne, two keepsake flutes, witnesses, a Save your Shoes room-to-beach bridal shuttle and more.
In addition, Bolongo Bay Beach Resort will waive the cancellation fees for military weddings. If a deployment is extended or something else comes up, there is no penalty for the couple and they can apply the deposit toward another date within a one-year timeframe.
Bolongo Bay originally launched the military wedding discount in 2010 for Veteran’s Day for weddings through 2011. “We received such positive feedback from our military brides and military members that we wanted to make the discount available year-round,” says Lorena Leonard, Romance Director at Bolongo Bay. “It is our way to say thank you for their service and make their wedding day even more special.”
