A day out fishing is not a day wasted! There are plenty of fishing areas at your disposal when you visit the Virgin Islands. However, you have to make some decisions beforehand: Do you want to fish inshore or offshore. The difference lies mainly in the difficulty of the game you will be around.
There are a multitude of areas you can visit for offshore fishing at the US Virgin Islands. If you are planning to visit in the Summer months, STT North & South Drop as well as, STX 100 Fathom Drop off hold a vast amount of Atlantic Blue Marlon that are abundant during those months. If you are planning to visit in the Winter months, the same areas are home to Sailfish from October to March, making this a perfect area to vacation and catch a couple big ones!
If you want to bring fish home for sure, there are many places to fish inshore. The best part about these offerings: they are mostly year round! The US Virgin Islands is a central hub to many different types of marine life, so you can fish all year.

These events fall between the months of May through November and are a joy to witness.
Please do not be discouraged if you have children! The US Virgin Islands hosts tournaments for children as well.
