Great Bay

Pristine white sandy beach located on the East end of St Thomas, great for relaxing and enjoying water sports.

Surrounded by palm lined walkways, restaurant, bar, swimming pool and luxury accommodations, the beach is accessible to the public through a public access road just past the Ritz Carlton Resort’s main entrance. The beach is typically quiet, great for just laying back and enjoying the scenery and perfect weather. The water is usually very calm and there is typically a nice breeze. A shallow rocky ledge and reefs on the right side offer good snorkeling as sea grass in some areas of the water is common. The resort’s watersports activities desk offers a range of options from kayaking to windsurfing.

Life saving equipment is available through the activities concession and the resort’s security department. Food and drinks are available at the Sails restaurant. Accessible restrooms, beach access ramp available from two public access paths next to the restaurant

Sensitive areas to include: Coral Reefs, Seagrass beds and mangrove pound

No lifeguard – Lifesaving equipment available on the beach.
